Privacy Policy

Overview

Giftio (“the App”) is developed and provided by Daelin Campleman (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the App handles, how it is used, and your choices.

What we collect

Giftio is designed to store gift ideas you add, including optional links and categories. Based on the current version of the App:

  • Gift entries you add: titles, optional URLs, categories, and timestamps are stored locally on your device or in App Group storage so the share extension can function.
  • People you manage in the app: a list of people (names and identifiers) that you create and manage in the App is stored locally and shared with the share extension via App Group storage to enable saving gifts from other apps.

We do not collect personal data on our servers. The App does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies.

How your data is used

  • Core functionality: Your gift ideas and people list are used solely to provide App features, including saving gifts via the share extension.
  • Local processing: Data is processed on your device. The share extension reads shared items (for example links or text) you choose to share and lets you save them as gifts.

Data storage and sync

  • On-device storage: Data is stored locally on your device and within App Group storage to support the share extension.
  • Cloud sync: The App does not transmit your data to our servers. If you enable any Apple platform sync or backups at the system level (for example iCloud device backups), Apple's services may handle your data according to Apple's privacy policies.

Third parties

We do not share your data with third parties. The App does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Permissions and system integrations

  • Share extension: When you invoke the share extension, it accesses the content you explicitly share (for example a URL or text) to help you create a gift entry. This happens only when you choose to share.

Children's privacy

Giftio is not directed to children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your choices

  • Manage data: You can edit or delete gift entries and people within the App.
  • Uninstall: You can remove the App at any time, which will delete locally stored data from your device. Some data may remain in device backups until those backups are deleted or expire per your system settings.

Security

We use platform-provided storage mechanisms and follow best practices to protect your information on device. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

International users

The App does not transfer your data to our servers. Any data handling is limited to your device and Apple's system services as configured on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at campleman.co.za with a new effective date.
